It offers wonderful suggestions for recording your thoughts and sketches. As for me, this week's sketchbook exercise was an "on location" sketch while waiting for an oil change at a car dealership. I knew I was going to have some time on my hands, so I brought my sketchbook and headphones. I recorded my sketch between sips of my morning joe. It was a fun way to make the "wait" enjoyable.

Sketchbook Exercise: Sketch while you wait. Be prepared with a sketchbook and drawing materials and take them with you anytime you know in advance that you will have some time to pass. Decide what you will sketch once you are at your destination.
